Our History and Our Store
MMA Fight Gear Online was founded in its first incarnation in 2001 as a resource for books and videos on the grappling arts. It was a listing of books and videos on the arts for collectors to compare by. In 2007 MMABeast.com opened, and started selling merchandise on-line but was quickly absorbed by our retail store that opened in Albuquerque, New Mexico in Aug of 2007. Our retail store is 1250 square feet and crammed full of stock from floor to ceiling. At the time it was (and still might be) the largest MMA Retail store (as far as stock and possibly size) outside of California. Competitors were blown away when they saw the depth of our stock and knowledge of the fight game.
After a year of trying to integrate the retail store and the web store we decided to open up a new web store with it own stock. The site is now run with its sister store for Wing Chun Kung Fu (www.everythingwingchun.com) out of the same retail store. Everything Wing Chun has been the internet’s #1 on-line store for the art of Wing Chun since 2004. This success in customer service, fast and fair worldwide shipping, and on-line retailing is brought to MMA Fight Gear Online.
With over 3000 items for sale on opening day, we offer more brands and equipment than any other on-line retailer… And we are far from our potential. Our philosophy is variety over depth, which means we will regularly have the best selection on the net, but if you see something you like you better grab it because it might be gone tomorrow! This way of doing business is opposite that of all our competitors, who buy a lot of the same old thing.
Our Employees
MMA Fight Gear Online is owned and operated by real cage fighters, and experienced mixed martial arts competitors. Everyone here competes, trains, or fights in the combats sports. We will gladly answer any questions you may have about equipment as we use it all ourselves before it hits the store floor.
